Day 1: Departure at 9.00 am from Cumbres Blancas Inn. Upon arrival at the Mapuche community Nahuel Pan around 09.30, we´ll have breakfast consisting of herbal teas served with delicious homemade breads. Then, we´ll participate in a gastronomy workshop where we´ll learn a lot about our host community. Once the workshop is over, we will enjoy lunch that will begin with a tasting of pickles as a starter and typical meals from the community. Main Course: a delicious roast lamb with different side dishes and homemade breads. After lunch we´ll share the stories by the fire where our hosts will tell us everything about their legends, traditions and give us a worldview of their community. Then we will participate in an artisan spinning workshop and we will be able to take part in the herding activities of the sheeps from the community towards the shelter. We will end this exchange day with a tasty snack. Return to Esquel. Accomodation: Cumbres Blancas Inn or similar.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure at 9.00 to Sierra Colorada Community. Upon arrival we´ll renew our contact with nature by taking a horse riding which will allow us to visit the slopes of the Sierra Colorada and admire the landscape. After lunch, we´ll travel 12 km on a route of incredible beauty to Lago Rosario. There, we´ll be welcome by Olga who will show us more details of this beautiful place. We´ll visit the Mapuche Museum and the House of the Artisans where we will be able to experience a spinning workshop and get to know different musical instruments of the Mapuche culture. Then we´ll get to know the local way of making artisanal jams with local fruits. Lago Rosario Community keep traditions alive and we could learn more about it while sharing together a delicious snack. By the afternoon, we´ll return to Esquel arriving at around 6.00 pm.End of our services
